Insomniac's flagship Electric Daisy Carnival brand carries enormous production expectations wherever it lands, and the Chinese edition's kineticFIELD – the festival's towering centrepiece stage – demanded a system to match, delivering headline performances from Marshmello, Illenium, and The Chainsmokers to enormous crowds.
The deployment's precisely tapered main arrays put PK's patented Multi-Axis Robotics on full display: each module's vertical and horizontal dispersion was mechanically configured to focus maximum impact on the audience area while minimizing noise pollution to nearby stages and surrounding areas.
The system later graced the cover of China's World Show magazine, which featured the deployment in its festival production coverage – a milestone for robotic line source technology's visibility in the region.
PK Sound's presence in China has deep roots, with systems anchoring some of the country's top nightclubs – including multiple entries on DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs – through the longstanding Polar Audio partnership.
