T8 / T18 CERTIFICATION

The compact robotic platform, end-to-end. Hands-on and in person, covering everything a crew needs to prepare, deploy, and maintain a T8 / T18 system — core technology, power, signal and data, networking, rigging, and transport.

Who It's For

BUILT FOR THE TEAMS BEHIND THE INVENTORY

Rental Companies

Warehouse leads, crew chiefs, and techs who prep, truck, fly, and return PK systems week after week. Certify the whole crew at once.

Venues & Installs

Technical directors and house engineers responsible for a permanent PK system — from daily operation to seasonal maintenance.

Integrators

Design-build teams delivering PK installations who need commissioning, handover and service knowledge their clients can rely on.

FOH Engineers & System Techs

The people who tune, shape, and mix on PK systems show to show — certify on the robotics and .dynamics workflow behind the rig you're handed.

Curriculum

SIX MODULES, THE WHOLE PLATFORM

The course follows the same six-module structure as our Trinity program, applied to the compact platform. Standard operating procedures run through every module, and the session closes with the certification assessment.

01Module

Core Technology

Where the compact platform sits in the PK range, and the patented mechanics that make robotic coverage possible.

  • The PK system family — T8, T18, Tx14 and Tx26, and where each fits
  • Robotic mounting and adjustment while the array is flown
  • Military-grade actuators — 80,000+ actuations, IP65 rated
  • Coherent Midrange Integrator waveguide and horizontal band control
  • Dual annular ring diaphragms and Tetracoil low-frequency motors
  • T18 bass-reflex design and cardioid subwoofer configurations
02Module

Power

Connecting a system safely, and knowing where the limits are before you reach them.

  • Modular Class-D VE amplification — 1,500 W, 3,000 W, and 4,000 W modules
  • powerCON True1 home runs, jumpers, and daisy-chains
  • The PK Cell — Power Cell, Signal Cell, and transport
  • Maximum modules per cell and per circuit, AMER and EMEA / APAC
  • Load balancing, breaker limits, and neutral current
  • Socapex multi-circuit distribution and fan-outs
03Module

Signal & Data

Getting audio to every module — and knowing exactly what happens when something fails.

  • etherCON, XLR-3 analog, and AES3 break-in on VE systems
  • Cable and connector specification, standard lengths, and jumpers
  • Maximum eight T8 or two T18 per power circuit
  • 76 m / 250 ft. maximum run to the last loudspeaker, including jumpers
  • Analog daisy-chains to 24 modules, AES to 12
  • AES jitter, re-clocking, and analog fallback behaviour
04Module

Network & System Management

One network, correctly configured — and the standard operating procedure that proves it.

  • Only PK devices on the PK network
  • DHCP server, SW1 Auto-IP mode, and address ranges
  • Configuring the .dynamics network interface on Windows and macOS
  • Multiple Cells and DHCP servers on one system
  • LCD colour codes and the T8 and T18 menu maps
  • T8 actuator recalibration after service
  • Standard operating procedure — assembly, verification, and end-of-show
05Module

Rigging & Safety

How it flies, how it stacks, and where the limits are.

  • T8 / T18 Suspension Frames, forward and reverse
  • Single-point and dual-point flying
  • Ground-stacking limits and Downtilt Adapters
  • Pull-up points, minimum bridle lengths, and unsafe configurations
  • Mixed T8 / T18 hangs and rear load pin checks
  • Landing arrays in weather, centre of gravity, and array spacing
06Module

Transportation & Service

Off the truck, back on it, and what to do when something needs attention.

  • Carts, caster boards, covers, and cover extensions
  • Maximum units per cart, weights, and footprints
  • Strapping and load bars
  • Cleaning, actuator testing, and rigging inspection
  • Helpdesk tickets and 24-hour support escalation
  • Certification assessment
