OSA Takes PK Sound on the Road with Megan Moroney's Am I Okay? Tour

PK Alliance partner OSA supported country music star Megan Moroney's Am I Okay? tour with a PK Sound robotic line source system, mechanically optimizing coverage for each unique venue on the run – including the iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.

One of country music's fastest-rising stars, Moroney's touring schedule spans amphitheatres, arenas, and theatres of wildly varying geometry. For OSA, PK's T10 robotic modules made venue-to-venue adaptation a matter of software rather than rigging.

The system's variable horizontal dispersion – including asymmetric configurations – allowed the team to tailor coverage precisely to each room. At Red Rocks, where a solid rock wall runs tight along one side of the subtly asymmetric bowl, the Trinity Black / T10 deployment focused sound exclusively on the audience, avoiding the unwanted reflections and spill that the venue's stunning geology otherwise guarantees.

The Red Rocks date was Moroney's headline debut at the amphitheatre, and it sold out. It is also close to a purpose-built test of robotic articulation: 9,500 seats carved into a mountainside with roughly two hundred feet of vertical rise between the rail and the last row. Coverage was stepped to follow the bowl's climb, so the top of the upper reserve was served with the same tonal balance and intelligibility as the front rows.

PK's patented Multi-Axis Robotics enable remote, real-time mechanical control of both vertical and horizontal coverage on every module – with 0.1-degree resolution in the vertical plane and more than 40 symmetric and asymmetric horizontal settings from 60 to 120 degrees.

The tour extends a deep partnership between PK Sound and OSA, whose substantial investment in robotic line source technology has powered everything from Dave Chappelle's award-winning arena tours to EDC Las Vegas' circuitGROUNDS stage.
