Onstage Systems Covers Globe Life Field for American Western Weekend

PK Alliance member Onstage Systems deployed a substantial PK Sound robotic system for American Western Weekend in Arlington, TX, covering every corner of Globe Life Field – home of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers – for daily western sports festivities and evening performances by the likes of Post Malone and Luke Bryan.

The Dallas-based show services provider configured a combination of Trinity Black and T10 robotic arrays for the stadium: main hangs of 12 Trinity Black over four T10 downfills per side, 12 Trinity Black outfills per side, 15 flown T218 subwoofers per side, and 12 T10 modules covering delay zones in an LCR configuration.

Stadium events that mix sport and concert programming demand a system that can do both: crisp, intelligible announcements for the daytime competition, and full-scale concert impact after dark. PK's patented Multi-Axis Robotics let the Onstage team tailor each array's coverage to the stadium's contours – and adapt it between the event's distinct modes.

With every module's vertical and horizontal dispersion controlled remotely via PK .dynamics software, coverage stayed focused on occupied seating and off the retractable roof and glass that make venues like Globe Life Field acoustically treacherous.

The deployment extended Onstage Systems' run of large-format PK milestones, from EDC Las Vegas' circuitGROUNDS stage to So What?! Fest – and showcased how the Texas partner's robotic inventory moves seamlessly between festivals, stadium spectaculars, and sporting events.
